About Us Pink Star Murphy Barro Pink Star Murphy Barro is one of Southwest Nova Scotia's most established law firms with a history dating back to 1981. In the year prior, Martin Pink, in partnership with with Hugh John Fraser and Andrew Nickerson, purchased the building located at 390 Main Street in Yarmouth that had occupied for a number of years by the Yarmouth law firm Chipman Sanderson. Along with one member of the original firm, Don Chipman, Chipman, Fraser, Pink & Nickerson was born. From its begining to the present day, the Yarmouth Law firm has gone through a series of changes. In 1982, Phil Star joined the fold and for a number of years, the firm was known as Pink Nickerson Star. In 2004, Andrew Nickerson left the firm to form Nickerson Jacquard, making way for more change to the firm's make up. That same year, lawyers Rick Murphy and Greg Barro were given the opportunity to become full partners and Pink Star Murphy Barro was formed. |
